Know an educator, teacher or leader who is ready for the right next move? Refer them to Early Years Talent and receive $550 or $900 when they are successfully placed in an eligible permanent role.
Our early childhood referral program rewards trusted introductions to permanent and fixed-term roles across Australia.
When we successfully place a referred educator or leader, you receive $550 (educator) or $900 (centre manager and above) as a thank you.
Importantly, there is no pressure and no chasing.
Instead, you simply introduce someone who would benefit from the right environment.
How our early childhood referral program works
1. Make a referral
First, share the details of an educator or leader you trust before they apply or engage with Early Years Talent directly.
2. We manage the recruitment
Next, we handle the full early childhood recruitment process — conversations, interviews, compliance checks, and placement — with a focus on long-term fit, not quick placements.
3. Receive your referral reward
Finally, when we place your referral into a permanent or fixed-term role, we pay your reward in two stages:
- 50% once the client has paid the placement fee (typically within seven days of the candidate’s commencement)
- 50% once the candidate successfully completes the guarantee period (usually three or six months)
You may choose to receive payment via EFT or gift voucher.
No hidden conditions — just a straightforward and transparent process.
Who you can refer in our early childhood referral program
We welcome referrals for:
Early Childhood Educators (Certificate III or Diploma)
Early Childhood Teachers
Leaders (Room Leader, Education Leader, Director)
Referrals must relate to permanent or fixed-term roles. Casual, short-term, unpaid, or placement roles are not eligible.

Early childhood referral program terms and conditions
Eligibility
The referred candidate must not have been registered with, referred to, or contacted by Early Years Talent within the previous 12 months
The referral must be submitted before the candidate applies or engages with Early Years Talent
Only the first valid referral received for a candidate is eligible
Referral reward structure
Total referral reward: $550 (GST not applicable)
$275 payable once the full client payment has been received
$275 payable once the referred candidate successfully completes the guarantee period
If the referred candidate resigns or is terminated during the guarantee period, the second payment is forfeited.
Exclusions
Referral rewards do not apply to:
Casual or short-term roles
Candidates already active in the Early Years Talent system or pipeline within the previous twelve months
Roles filled on a complimentary or non-fee basis
Payment and claims
Referral rewards must be paid within one month of the guarantee period ending.
Referrers with an ABN may invoice Early Years Talent (GST applies only if the referrer is registered for GST)
Payment may be made via EFT or gift voucher. Please let us know your preference.
General conditions
By participating, you confirm you have consent to share the referred person’s details
You confirm you are not acting on behalf of a competing recruitment agency
Early Years Talent reserves the right to amend or withdraw the referral program with reasonable notice
